Sudbury's first ever Poutine Fest will take place this weekend, Aug. 25-27, in the city's downtown.

Poutine Fest will feature an array of poutine vendors, beverages, exhibitors, music and entertainment programming. The three-day event offers free admission for all-ages, a Small Fry Kids Zone, live entertainment and free (19+) evening concerts.

Catch Friday night headliner Bobby Wills and Saturday night headliners Hells Bells, Canada's longest-running tribute to AC/DC. The festival concert grounds has a limited capacity, so free entry will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Evening concerts are 19+ after 8 p.m.

The event is being held downtown Sudbury at the same general location as Rib Fest. Main gates are located at the corner of Durham Street and Medina Lane and will be open Friday noon-midnight, Saturday 11 a.m. - midnight and Sunday 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.

All food options can be found on the festival website and social media accounts. The festival weekend is expected to draw more than 20,000 people.

"There has been a huge positive response leading into Poutine Fest, which we are very grateful," said festival partner Paul Fairley.

"For those wishing to check out the free evening concerts, we are urging people to arrive early. We're anticipating large crowds especially into the evenings." Evening concerts are 19+ after 8pm.
