If you love the landscape and architecture of Ireland and Scotland, you'll love local photographer Kathy Browning's latest exhibition.
“2 Lands” opened at Artists on Elgin June 1, but you still have until June 30 to get out and enjoy it.
“I spent 14 days of intensive photographic research taking 10,000 photographs while travelling around the coast of Scotland and an equal amount of time travelling around the coast of Ireland,” Browning said in her artist's statement.
“Scotland has heather shrouded moorlands, expansive glens with grass covered hills and lowlands, and black and red mountains; and magnificent castles. Ireland included the lush green landscapes of rolling hills full of sheep, cliffs, rugged shore lines, sandy beaches, and castles.
“They both had magical landscapes and incredible architecture in ancient and pre-historic cities. Both countries are a part of my cultural heritage.”
