Roots-rock duo Bare Sierra will be making a tour stop at the Fromagerie on Elgin on Aug. 17.

The Halton Hills duo is made up of singer/songwriters and childhood friends John Muirhead and Jesse Bydevaate. The two have played together since the age of 14 and have developed their own brand of soulful acoustic songwriting characterized by introspective lyricism and upbeat sing-along choruses.

On Aug. 17, Bare Sierra will be joined by local songwriter Martine Fortin at the Fromagerie.

This will be a part of the duo's "Northern Lights Tour" which will take them across the province during the month of August, including performances at Live From the Rock Folk Festival and Summerfolk.
