Harry Potter fans unite at the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre in Capreol, Saturday, Aug. 31 for Harry Potter Day.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors will be encouraged to participate in interactive Harry Potter themed activities on the grounds.

The activities will be tailored primarily to children and young adults. While the adults who come can participate as well, they may also be interested in what the museum provides.

Themed activities include Hogwarts letters, sorting ceremony, potion classes, divination, and Ollivander's Wand Shop.

The museum will have butter beer and hot dogs to quench your thirst and hunger.

Northern Ontario Railroad Museum and Heritage Centre is also a stop on the Harry Potter Unite app, so grab your smartphone and meet up with other Harry Potter fans.

“This will be a whimsical event to celebrate the end of summer and a very successful museum season,” said operations manager Derek Young. “We encourage all families to visit the museum and get into the spirit of Harry Potter Day.”

Admission is $15 per adult, $12 for students and seniors and $7 per child and includes admission to the museum.

Come dressed in your favorite Harry Potter costumes and save $2 per ticket.
