Reliance Home Comfort and We the Bury, in partnership with United Way Centraide North East Ontario (UWCNEO), are joining forces to help families in need through the newly launched Heat Your Heart Heat Your Home toy drive and furnace contest.
“We recognize the challenges that many families in our community are experiencing,” said Riley Herbert, operations manager with Reliance Home Comfort. “It’s important for Reliance to give back and to partner with other like-minded organizations committed to creating a positive change.
“We are excited to launch Heat Your Heart Heat Your Home, a two-part initiative that includes a giveaway of two high-efficiency furnaces, installation and five years parts and warranty to provide peace of mind to two families in our community.”
Curtis Loiselle, founder of We the Bury, said his team is asking individuals and businesses to donate new toys, blankets, and gift cards to ease the burden on struggling families this holiday season.
All donations will benefit the TD Toy Drive. On Dec. 5-6, his team will be available to safely pick up donations.
Katherine Cockburn, development manager with UWCNEO, said from Nov. 4-25, City of Greater Sudbury residents are invited to nominate themselves or a family in need of a new furnace.
