Hey, garlic fans! Ukrainian Seniors’ Centre food fundraiser runs Aug. 22

Enjoy some garlic goodies (garlic butter tarts, anyone?) by curbside pickup

If you’re a fan of garlic, you’re probably going to want to check out the Ukrainian Seniors’ Centre upcoming food fundraiser, which runs 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 22. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the food is being sold through curbside pickup. Pre-order by Thursday, Aug. 19. 

Items available for order: 

  • Fresh cabbage rolls & pyrohy : $10 per dozen
  • Balabushky (stuffed rolls with potato &; cheddar): Take home and heat, two for $3
  • Garllos (phyllo rolled with spinach mixture): Take home and bake, two for $3
  • Kozak patties (savoury ground beef in curry pastry): Take home and heat, two for $3
  • Sausage tartlets (spicy sausage with onions, olives, mushrooms, cheddar in a tart shell): Take home & heat, two for $3
  • Garlic butter tarts: Two for $3
  • Hot lunch featuring pyrohy, cabbage rolls and patchyky (meat stick), $12.
