Pets can stay at Delta Hotels

Delta Hotels is the first national chain in North America to achieve Pets Can Stay certification in the majority of its pet friendly locations, and to establish pet policies to ensure continuity across the brand for their guests travelling with pets.

Helping establishments refine and market their pet guest programs, the Pets Can Stay program assures travellers and their pets that they will be welcomed and offered specific standard amenities while staying at a Pets Can Stay Certified establishment. Wherever the Pets Can Stay Certification logo is displayed, travellers can take comfort in the knowledge that the service provider adheres to consistent pet-related standards, criteria and guidelines. Requirements for Pets Can Stay certification include offering non-smoking pet-designated rooms, providing food and water bowls upon request, and maintaining pet fees that reasonably reflect cleaning and occupancy considerations instead of simply penalizing the pet owner.

In addition to property certification, Delta Hotels also consulted with Pets Can Stay to develop a new corporate pet guest program that has now been implemented across the entire brand.

Moving beyond Pets Can Stay certification, some of the marketing strategies to promote the partnership include tie-ins with Pets Can Stay's pet industry relationships, and display of the optimized Pets Can Stay certification logo on the Delta Hotels website as part of Pets Can Stay's comprehensive search engine optimization campaign. In addition, travellers will be able to access Delta Hotels' online reservation system via the Pets Can Stay website, and book directly into the Delta location of their choice.
