Former Sudburian Diana Renelli has created a project that's garnered the attention of Scotiabank's Contact Photography Festival.
Rearview, a series of photos depicting things from mirrors inside vehicles, captures a different perspective on the suspended object.
“Glass has the effect of clouding the space between the subject and the object, forcing the perceiver to become aware of the space between the two, and what may be happening there,” she said.
Now a Toronto resident, Renelli enjoys playing with reflection, creating images that are dreamlike, striking, eerie and evocative.
Her work will be featured at Toronto's Rivoli Lounge on the second floor from now until June 29.
