Juno Award-winning singer/songwriter Ian Tamblyn will perform at the Art Gallery of Sudbury Aug. 15.
The concert, which starts at 7 p.m., is part of the art gallery's second annual “Festival of the Seven.”
Tamblyn, known for his music about the wilder places in Canada, has been a full-time musician since 1972. He has released 36 albums and CDs of his work, as well as acting as producer for dozens of other artists.
His current project is a CD inspired by the Group of Seven, and will be produced by the AGS/GAS. The release date is scheduled for fall 2014.
Those attending the concert will also have the opportunity to view the art gallery's “A Visual Voyage: Navigating Georgian Bay” exhibit, featuring the work of Group of Seven member Franklin Carmichael and modern-day Ontario artists.
