You might want to mark this one on the calendar: the RCMP Musical Ride is coming to Greater Sudbury June 9-10.

Head out to Northern Legacy Horse Farm in Whitefish (688 Panache Lake Rd.) to see the world-renowned troop of 32 horses and riders perform.

Every year, the Musical Ride brings its show to communities across the country to perform a variety of figures and drills choreographed to music, said a press release.

The show provides the public with an opportunity to experience the heritage and traditions of the RCMP and raise funds for local charities across Canada.

“Northern Legacy Horse Farm is proud to welcome 32 of the world's most-recognized horses and riders to our equestrian facility in Whitefish, Ont.,” said Craig Fielding, owner of Northern Legacy Horse Farm.

“The iconic RCMP Musical Ride will be performing for the community the weekend of June 9, 2018. Be sure not to miss this famous family event.”

The event will also include food and merchandise vendors, local entertainment, including performances by the Blue Saints Drum & Bugle Corp and the Greater Sudbury Police Service Pipe Band, inflatables and other family activities.

All proceeds go to the Onaping Falls Recreation Committee Inc. and the Capreol Centennial Committee.

Tickets will be available as of April 1 at Levack Mini-Mart, Onaping Kwik-Way, Dowling IDA Pharmacy in Onaping Falls, Lynn’s Place, Capreol Home Hardware, M&R Café, Fire House Bar & Grill in Capreol and online here.

Organizers Carrie Morin and Randy Crisp can be contacted, respectively, at 705-918-1978 or 705-919-2413.
