Recording artist, songwriter, composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist, John Newlands performs at STC's intimate cabaret space, Steve's Encore, on Saturday, Dec. 1.
The concert, which starts at 7:30 p.m., is the first in the Voices of the Rock singer/songwriter series, hosted by Kelly Perras.
Newlands has released 14 albums and numerous singles and has done everything from a Pink Floyd tribute show (coming to STC January 18) to arranging a barbershop quartet.
Perras is a singer, performer and voice coach. During her years as a working artist in Toronto, Kelly studied with some of Canada's most elite voice coaches and performed in some of Toronto's best live music venues.
The Voices of the Rock series also includes performances by Kevin Closs on February 2 and Patrick Rheal Therren on May 11.
Tickets to John Newlands' amazing night of songs and stories, and the other concerts in the series, are just $20 each.
