Local musician JoPo is putting on an event called “Sudbury's Downtown in THE Round” at Little Montreal Jan. 25.

JoPo, whose real name is Joanne Polack, recorded her 2017 album “JoPo: Another Trip Around the Sun,” in Nashville.

“I’m bringing a little of what I experienced out in Nashville which is called 'In the Round' to downtown Sudbury, so I’m calling it ‘Sudbury’s Downtown in THE Round’ where Singers, Songwriters, guitar players sit on a panel in front of a live audience, talk about their original pieces of work, tell their stories and then play their songs,” she said in an email to Sudbury.com.

Besides herself, the show features Johnny Williams, Marc Serre and Sean Barrette. “It’s expected that the crowd stays quiet throughout the performance to really take in the stories and the songs being shared,” JoPo said.

“The first artist will perform one song, then next performer will perform their song & so on & so forth throughout the evening.”

The who runs 8-11 p.m. at Little Montreal, located at 182 Elgin St. Tickets cost $25 each, and are available through Eventbrite or at Little Montreal.
