A book launch party for Sudbury publishing company Latitude 46 Publishing's second fall title takes place Nov. 5.

Somewhere Picking Dandelions, by Sudbury native Diana Douglas, is a beautiful coming-of-age story about a fearless seven-year-old girl in the post Second World War-era, said company founders Heather Campbell and Laura Gregorini.

“Somewhere Picking Dandelions is an emotionally resonant story that catapults us into the unfiltered conscience of a young girl as she experiences both the blessed and the dispiriting aspects of growing up in a large (and fractured) family,” said editor Mitchell Gauvin.

The book launch takes place starting at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at La Fromagerie Elgin as part of Wordstock Sudbury Literary Festival.

Admission is free.
