Sudbury musician Sean Barrette was inspired by the city's Samaritan Centre to write the song “Sisters and Brothers.”

To help the centre, which houses a number of agencies including the Elgin Street Misson, he performed the song downtown and busked to raise some funds.

Barrette produced the music video above after that performance.

“It seems absurd to live in such a rich society and still have people living on the street or going hungry,” he said in an email to NorthernLife.ca. “We may never 'solve' homelessness, but there’s got to be a better way and I really believe that if we all do our little bit in our own way, it all adds up.”
