Local raspberries sweeten up The Market this weekend

The sweet taste of summer continues at the Market this weekend when piles of fresh local raspberries arrive for sale. The Market, located next to the CP/Via Rail Station at 233 Elgin Street, is open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The sweet taste of summer continues at the Market this weekend when piles of fresh local raspberries arrive for sale.

The Market, located next to the CP/Via Rail Station at 233 Elgin Street, is open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Besides raspberries, check out fresh lettuce, peas and more, including homemade perogies in a variety of flavours from Patty’s Petahe.

As if fresh produce wasn't enough, how about live entertainment? Kim Schmidt brings her unique Canadian acoustic folk sound to the outdoor Market stage, starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, while the Northern All Star Steel Pan Band brings its energy to the stage starting at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
