André-Philippe Gagnon is the headlining Francophone performer at this year's Laugh Out Loud (LOL) Sudbury Comedy Festival. Gagnon will perform on Sunday, March 19 at the Fraser Auditorium starting at 7 p.m.

In 1985, Gagnon first acquired his international reputation, appearing at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal, where he impersonated with accuracy every artist of the song “We Are The World,” the song written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie and recorded by United Support of Artists (USA) for Africa.

Gagnon was then invited to present his version of “We Are the World” on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

Some of Gagnon’s most hilarious impressions include Ray Charles, Alice Cooper, Susan Boyle, Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones and Bono.
This show will be presented in French.

Tickets will cost $45 plus HST and applicable taxes, and are on sale as of Feb. 10. Visit lolsudbury.com or phone 705-688-1234.
