LOL Sudbury hosting a couple of upcoming comedy nights

Check out the comedy shows at The Daventry June 2 and June 3

Fiona O’Brien is one of the comedians performing in Sudbury June 2 as part of an LOL Sudbury show.

LOL Sudbury organizers are set to host comedians Fiona O’Brien and Keith Pedro on Friday, June 2 and comedians Ted Morris and Patrick Haye on Saturday, June 3. 

Both comedy shows will take place at The Daventry at 9 p.m. with doors opening at 8 p.m. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Friday, June 2 (hosted by local comedian Kelsey Coyb)

Fiona O’Brien quickly established herself by winning over audiences as a two-time semi finalist in Absolute Comedy’s Prove You’re a Comic, a finalist in the Toronto Comedy Brawl, a finalist in the Rising Stars Competition at the Brantford Comedy Festival, and a two-time Tournament Champion at Flat Tire Comedy. Her comedy has been featured at the Toronto’s SheDot Festival, Kingston Comedy Festival, Yuk Yuks on tour, Halifax Comedy Festival, as well as on CBC’s Laugh out Loud and Sirius XM.

Keith Pedro is a headlining Canadian comedian who has toured across the world. His stand-up has been featured on Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, MTV, CBC, FuseTV, as well as on Roast Battle Canada, which garnered his performance a Canadian Screen Award nomination. Keith is a Canadian comedy festival regular at Just For Laughs in Montreal, at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and on CBC’s Halifax. In 2022, his comedy album TRILLIPINO was nominated for a Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year.

Saturday, June 3 (hosted by local comedian Lesley Lynn)

Patrick Haye has grown to be a favourite wherever he plays. He has been featured on CBC’s George Stroumboulopoulus Tonight and has opened for Gerry Dee (Mr. D), Bryan Callen (MADtv, The Hangover), Eddie Griffin (Undercover Brother), and Harland Williams (Dumb and Dumber, Half Baked). Patrick has previously performed with LOL Sudbury in 2013, 2016, and 2019.

Ted Morris has recent achievements in the release of his long-awaited debut comedy album Dawn of the Ted, being insulted by Simon Cowell on Season 14 of America’s Got Talent, his 5th appearance at the Halifax Comedy Festival, his 3rd appearance at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, a stand-up set and interview on CBC’s Comedy Night with Rick Mercer, continuing his undefeated streak on CBC Radio’s The Debaters, and a Gala taping at Just for Laughs in Montreal that garnered him a nomination for a Canadian Screen Award and a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Stand-Up Comic.
