LOL Sudbury Comedy Festival kept the laughs coming in a "Sirius" way on Friday night.
The Durham Social played host to the SiriusXM top comic showcase on March 24 with a number of comedians hitting the stage.
Ashley Moffatt, Rob Bebenek, Nigel Grinstead, Chris Robinson and Jeff McEnery all performed sets while Ben Miner took on hosting duties and kept the crowd laughing between performances.
Miner also hosted a live-to-tape session of his SiriusXM program "Top Comic" throughout the evening, bringing the comedians from the stage mic to the studio mic to put together a unique episode "live" from the festival.
LOL Sudbury will feature club shows at Durham Social on Saturday, March 25, kicking off with Sudbury Saturday Night at 7 p.m. where Jeff Paul, Karen O'Keefe, Gavin Stephens, and Nigel Grinstead will perform.
The 9 p.m. "Fruitpunch! LGBT Comedy Showcase" set features Ted Morris, Shawn Hitchins, Adrienne Fish, and Andrew Johnston. The evening wraps up with LOL Late Night at 11;30 p.m. featuring sets from Rob Bebenek, Dom Pare, Jeff McEnery, and Eric Johnston.
Tickets to all club shows are $26 +HST.
LOL Sudbury will come to a close on Sunday evening, with a main stage performance by comedy's "queen of mean" Lisa Lampanelli at 7 p.m. at Fraser Auditorium. Tickets are $55 + HST.
