Ready to put your baking skills to the test?

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sudbury is moving online this year with a family-fun fundraiser to support its continued programming and the youth it serves.

This year, the public has been asked to Bake for Kids' Sake a #IgnitePotential themed dessert (think fireworks, excitement, sparks) for the chance to win one of two $100 prizes.

Creations can be made from scratch or using a purchased mix and presented any day between June 12 to June 15.

There will be one $100 prize awarded to the individual that bakes the creation voted by the BBBS community to be the most awesome, and another $200 prize to the person who fundraises the most.

Those looking to participate can do so by registering online at CanadaHelps by paying an initial pledge of $25.

Participants can sign up as an individual, create a team or join a team. Prizes, however, will only be distributed to individual bakers, not teams.

Individual incentives for pledges raised:

  • $50 raised earns you a BBBS t-shirt
  • $100 raised earns you a personal pan pizza from Toppers Pizza and a BBBS t-shirt
  • $150 raised earns you a baseball hat/ messy bun hat, personal pan pizza from Toppers Pizza and a BBBS t-shirt
  • $200 raised earns you a BBBS hoodie, a baseball hat/messy bun hat, personal pan pizza from Toppers Pizza and a BBBS t-shirt
