The Sudbury Charities Foundation will officially launch this year's Festival of Lights on Sunday, Nov. 20 at the grounds at Science North.
Vounteers spent a damp morning at Science North on Oct. 29 setting up the nearly 55,000 LED lights.
This Sunday's festivities kick off at 4 p.m. with pizza, games and photos with Santa. At 5 p.m. the movie "Elf" will be shown on the IMAX, and finally, at 6:45 p.m. festival organizers will flip the switch on this year's festival.
The event is free, though tickets for the IMAX movie are limited and can be purchased at Tony V's Pizza (1323 Martindale Rd.).
