If you were considering going to the Mud Bog Music Festival in Azilda — which starts a-roaring tonight, by the way — you’d better make up your mind.

The event starts tonight and it’s almost sold out.

Formerly known as the Chemmy Mud Bogs, the event features music, kids events, food, a VIP section and, of course, a variety of mud bog events.

Held at The Compound (446 Montée principale) in Azilda, the event is held in memory of mudding enthusiast Marc Lafrenière, owner of Marc Lafrenière Construction, who died tragically in an accident in December 2013, a few days after Christmas.

If you’re looking at taking part in any of the races, registration is open until 10 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The fun gets underway tonight when the doors open at 5 p.m. If you’ve heard the news and doubted it, it’s true — 1980s rock gods Quiet Riot headline tonight’s show, with supporting acts Saturday Night Special, August Rise, CDK and The Twentiest.

The Saturday night lineup is headlined by rising country star Jason Blaine, with groups Open  Road, Celine Tellier and Justin James warming up the crowd.

A range of ticket prices are available.
