Music premiere: Sudbury musicians collaborate remotely to record Taylor Swift cover

Watch it here tonight beginning at 8 p.m.

A group of Sudbury musicians will be premiering a cover of Taylor Swift's Shake It Off tonight (April 24).

The band's name is Nine Eight Six. Members Corey Guilbeault (a.k.a Brandon Burkley), Nathan Courtemanche and Dustin Moore collaborated remotely to produce their rendition of this upbeat song.

"The world was gripped by the COVID-19 pandemic, forcing everyone into self-isolation," the band said.

"During these dark times, a small local band wanted to do their part to uplift the spirits of those who were alone and struggling."

The video will premiere on YouTube tonight (April 24) at 8 p.m.

You can watch it on this page in the video above.

After tonight's premiere, the song will be released on all major streaming platforms on May 8.
