Run out of ideas for date night? The Art Gallery of Sudbury has a ready-made solution in their Date Night at the Gallery event.
Head to the gallery from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 27 and check out the exhibition Beyond the Crease: Ken Danby.
The exhibition, on view at the Art Gallery of Sudbury from Jan. 18 through April 1, spans four decades of the artist’s remarkable career as an accomplished realist painter, watercolourist, printmaker, and commercial artist.
Organized and circulated by the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Beyond the Crease brings together 38 significant works to mark the 10th anniversary of this important artist’s death and includes; A Study for Tim Horton, a life-like portrait of the hockey player on the ice; and a portrait of former competitive swimmer and two-time
Olympic gold medallist and world recorder holder Alex Baumann, who hails from Sudbury.
Date Night at the Gallery features refreshments (including chocolate!) and a cash bar. Admission is $10 per couple.
