Nova Scotia quintet Hillsburn will be coming through Sudbury during their Canadian tour which kicks off Aug. 24 in Montreal.

Sharing a name with a small community in their home province, Hillsburn are touring in support of  their latest release, In The Battle Years

The band will start their tour in Montreal before hitting a number of Southern Ontario cities including Ottawa and Toronto.

On Aug. 30 the band will make their first tour stop in Northern Ontario when they play Fromagerie on Elgin. Sudbury is one of just two Northern Ontario stops, as Hillsburn will play The Foundry in Thunder Bay on Aug. 31.

Recently Hillsburn made the top ten in the Allan Slaight Juno Master Class and just won the People’s Choice award, the Bring Em Back award, the Best New To Me band, and Best Duo or Group at the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival.
