Giving Tuesday is coming up on Dec. 3, and Jazz Sudbury is urging music-lovers and education supporters alike to support the festival’s work.
“Jazz Sudbury invites you to help Keep the Music Alive by giving today, on Giving Tuesday Dec. 3 or anytime afterwards,” the Jazz Sudbury Festival said in a news release.
The release highlights some of what Jazz Sudbury has going on, including Free Jazz Wednesdays at the Place des Arts Bistro and the Jazz Sudbury Youth Band, which is made up of more than 20 young musicians.
“These students who receive the best in music education from three outstanding conductors achieved a gold standing in a national competition in 2024.”
And of course there is the Jazz Sudbury Festival itself, which “has brought world-class musicians to Sudbury” for 11 years.
