Parenting expert Barbara Coloroso to host two presentations in Greater Sudbury

Parenting expert takes part in Cambrian College's 'Parents as Career Coaches' speaker series

Join parenting expert and best-selling author Barbara Coloroso as she discusses transitioning a child through the education system as the latest guest in Cambrian College's Parents as Career Coaches Speaker Series

The period of a child's life where they must transition from elementary to high school, and from high school to college, can be a difficult to say the least. Coloroso will be making two presentation in the area come April, to help parents guide their children through this difficult time. 

Coloroso will be at the Manitoulin Conference Centre in Little Current April 10 at 5:30 p.m. and Cambrian College April 11, at 5:30 p.m. Joining her will be Cambrian College's wellness co-ordinator, Catherine Poulton, who will be giving a presentation on campus wellness. 

With more than 40 years experience in education, Coloroso's areas of expertise include parenting, discipline, conflict resolution and how to deal with bullying. Her experience in this area has led her to appear on every major television network, including Oprah, and be featured in a number of leading publications such as Time, Newsweek and the New York Times. 

The Parents as Career Coaches Speaker Series is a presentation of Cambrian College, the Rainbow District School Board and the School College Work Initiative: Dual Credit, and the Ontario Post-secondary Access and Inclusion Program.

Both of Coloroso's presentations are free to attend and include dinner. Seating is limited, so pre-registration is required.
