Reader Barb Ecker shared this photo with Sudbury.com of a strangely coloured robin. Ecker said she believes the bird is a "leucistic American robin" due to the colouration. Leucistic (loo-KISS-tic) is the term ornithologists use to describe the condition, which occurs when the bird lacks the pigment to produce a certain colour. Ecker snapped the photo in the city's West End.
