Six professional rib teams lit the burners on day two of Downtown Sudbury's 12th annual Ribfest Saturday, to the joy of crowds young and old ready to satisfy their barbecue cravings.
In addition to grilled-delights, this year's festival includes a variety of vendors, exhibitors, three-days of live music and two-days of children's entertainment at Memorial Park.
The six teams competing for the title of best ribs, chicken, sauce and people's choice, are Ribs Royale, Boss Hogs, Crabby's BBQ Shack, Jack the Ribber, Smokehouse Bandits and Mississipi Smokehouse.
This is the second year in a row that the festival's proceeds have supported the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario in their Strong Kids Campaign.
