Greater Sudbury poet laureate Chloé LaDuchesse and the Greater Sudbury Public Library invite local writers to submit poems for a special edition of the ezine terra north/nord under the theme "Returning.”

With the return of the chilly season, we return to our familiar habits, we go back home to visit relatives, we dig up good old recipes and revisit well-loved works.

Our theme "Returning" evokes this to-and-fro movement between the past and the present, the familiar and the unknown, the places where we would like to be and the places where we have to be. It is an invitation to explore movements of the body, the spirit or the imagination.

Poems should be a maximum length of 600 words for one text or a series of poems and the due date is Jan. 7, 2019.

Submissions are welcome in both official languages and can include words or quotes in other languages as well.

Sudbury's visual artists are also invited to submit their work (drawings, painting, and photography) on the theme of Returning in a .jpg format to illustrate the magazine.

Send final texts as MS Word files to [email protected].
