Sudbury rapper CheZZa is hosting a coat drive and popup show this Saturday at the Rainbow Centre downtown.
CheZZa, a.k.a. Chezare Miller, said he wants to celebrate the launch of his latest single, “70G,” by giving back.
“This past week I've been collecting coats and other useful items to be given to the #Coats4KidsCampaign and other charities looking to help out people who live on the cold Northern Ontario streets,” CheZZa said in an email. “Not everyone is within distance to be able to support the way they want to, therefore this is the reason I started this GoFundMe.”
The 70G Coat Drive and Pop-Up Show, presented by CheZZA and Iceburgh Society Entertainment on Nov. 23, will be in suite 134 at the Rainbow Centre from 1-6 p.m. The event is free, but donations of cash or winter-wear are encouraged.
The all-ages event will not only feature CheZZa but also a host of Sudbury performers, including Powderr and Jay Ayye, Storm Hogan, Jessick, Koncept, Alcatrav, Mickey O'Brien, Jor'Del Downz and Crypt.
“This is an all ages event so bring the kids and come enjoy music by some of Sudbury's best DJs and performances by many of the best Sudbury Hip Hop artists, door prizes, and giveaways.”
