Flex your creative side by registering your traditional or self-published book for the third annual Northern Ontario Book Fair.

The Silverleaf Writers Guild will be hosting their 'Next Generation' themed book fair Sept. 28-29 in Cobalt, with a focus on promoting the next generation of writers and readers.

Despite the theme, the event will feature books suitable for all ages, as well as readings and workshops aimed at a younger audience.

Event organizers are hopeful to include special tours, workshops, as well as presentations by North American agents and publishers, to promote our Northern Ontario authors.

Seeing as the event will take place on the 10th anniversary of Culture Days, a national celebration of Canadian arts and culture, the guild anticipates a number of cultural events within the city for both authors and readers to enjoy.

Authors must be born in, or currently reside in Northern Ontario to register and have at least one traditional or self-published book to sell. While there is no restriction as to the style or genre of the publication (comic book, graphic novel, photo book etc.), it must be in finished book form.

Registration is offered at a cost of $40 and will be open until May 31, or until they have reached capacity. Learn more about the Northern Ontario Book Fair and register online, here.
