RED – A Tribute to Red Skelton has been called “the funniest and most successful tribute show in America.”

“Skelton entertained millions on variety television’s golden era during the '50s, '60s and early '70s,” a media release stated.

“Red’s clown ability to play a multitude of characters, some with minimal use of dialogue and others solely with props, has stood the test of time. Very few have been able to follow in his path.”

The show stars Tom Mullica, who was called “real theatre” by Skelon himself in 1985.

The two were good friends until Skelton passed away in 1997. Tom's show is the only tribute show authorized by the Red Skelton Estate and the performer's widow Lothian Skelton.

The tribute show, featuring the antics of Freddie the Freeloader, Clem Kadiddlehopper, Junior the Mean Widdle Kid, George Applebee and more, takes the stage Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Fraser Auditorium.

Tickets are now available at the Sudbury Theatre Centre Box Office, open weekly Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call the STC at 705-674-8381 ext. 21, or online at www.sudburytheatre.on.ca.

Advanced reserved seating is $36.50. Admission at the door is $45.
