Les Concerts La Nuit Sur l’étang (La Nuit), a non-for-profit company that produces concerts, web shows and workshops for young performers, announces a new initiative called Inner Circle, which features longtime friends Zachary Richard and Robert Paquette as well as five other musicians at College Boréal on June 25.

‘’These great singer songwriters will delve into their rich repertoires to offer Sudbury a unique, even historical experience, in their Inner Circle,’’ said la Nuit’s Managing Director, Pierre-Paul Mongeon in a news release.

Robert Paquette is no stranger to Sudbury audiences, La Nuit Sur L’étang said in the release. He was a key player in launching Franco-Ontarian culture and music on the national and international scenes.

Paquette is a member of the “Franco-Ontarian diaspora,” the group said, having moved to Montreal in the 1970s to further his recording career. La Nuit awarded him le Prix du Nouvel Ontario to recognize his lifetime achievement.

Zachary Richard is a singer-songwriter, poet, cultural activist, environmentalist and performer from Louisiana. He is a guardian of the French culture in Louisiana and its poet laureate.

Richard has recorded more than 20 albums including ones that have reached gold and platinum status in the USA. His music is a fusion of Cajun, Zydeco, folk, and funk, and he has toured internationally receiving honors in France, Europe, Quebec, the USA, and Canada.

La Nuit Will be announcing ticket sales closer to the concert date but want to remind Sudburians to mark June 25 in their calendars.
