A group of touring performers from the Netherlands called Tourplanners will be in Sudbury Nov. 9 to perform the show “Sgt. Wilson's 'Music on the Bridge.'”

The show, sponsored by the Lockerby Legion, features wartime music from the 1940s as well as tunes from the 1950s. The performers will be accompanied by Sudbury's own Nickel City Wind Ensemble.

Rachel Eastman, who's on the entertainment executive of the Lockerby Legion, said the legion wanted to do something special to mark the centenary of the 1918 First World War armistice.

“The 100th anniversary, this coincides with that,” said Eastman. “The timing is really perfect for recognizing the sacrifice that's been made.”

The show runs at 6 p.m. at the United Steelworkers Hall. Tickets, which cost $25 in advance or $30 at the door, are available at the Lockerby Legion, located at 2200 Long Lake Road.
