Exploration and fun are the key words for Sudbury Theatre Centre’s PA Day Theatre Camps for youth ages 8-12.

Four full-day theatre camps will run from 9 am to 4 pm on the following dates: Friday, Nov. 19; Friday, Feb. 4; Friday, March 11; and Monday, June 13.

The program includes collaborative activities and games designed to build imagination, confidence, and creative expression.

Students will enjoy learning dramatic conventions such as role-playing, tableaux, and stage blocking. Character work and story-telling activities building on the theme of relationships and respect will challenge students to think critically and creatively.

STC’s education programs contribute to each student’s emotional, intellectual and social development. Participation also helps to develop their self-confidence and problem-solving skills.

The PA Day Theatre Camps will be led by Morgan Cook, a multi-talented artist with a passion for integrating inclusive and relevant content in her artistic endeavors.

Enrolment for each PA Day Theatre Camp is limited to 15 students. Activities will be held in the theatre to promote physical distancing. Masks must be worn while inside the building. Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout the building and in the washrooms.

Parents may register their children for more than one PA Day camp – payments will be collected for one camp at a time. The cost is $60 per day (includes HST) – $55 for current STC Academy students. After-care until 5 pm is available upon request for an additional $10 per day.
