The Sudbury Studio Singers present a concert they've dubbed A Choral Gift on Friday, Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Place in downtown Sudbury.

The 19-voice choir was newly formed this fall under the direction of Robert Hall.

It will perform a variety of chamber choir repertoire suitable for the season. The group will sing Christmas selections, both a cappella and accompanied, as well as some of the gems of the repertoire, such as Mozart's Ave verum corpus.

The music for the concert will range from the 16th to the 21st centuries, and will feature selections from England, Spain, America, France, Estonia and Canada.

Specially featured will be two traditional texts, each set in three contrasting styles by composers of different centuries and countries.

Tickets for the concert are available in advance at St. Andrew’s United Church office or at the door. General admission is $15, while students and seniors get in for $10.
