We’re looking for a talented writer with strong love for live theatre. Someone with a passion to help ensure theatre always has a home in Greater Sudbury.

This year, Sudbury.com and Northern Life bid farewell to Scott Overton, our long-time theatre critic.

While Scott is kind of irreplaceable, that’s exactly what we’re attempting to do.

The Nickel City has a robust arts and culture scene and we believe theatre criticism is an integral element of that.

Critics help create interest in local theatre productions, of which Greater Sudbury is blessed with many. From Sudbury Theatre Centre to Theatre Cambrian to YES Theatre and more, the Nickel City has much to offer.

And while critics not only help generate interest in productions, they help productions, too, by providing objective feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of live shows.

We’re looking for a talented writer with strong love for live theatre. Someone with a passion to help ensure theatre always has a home in Greater Sudbury.

And someone with enough knowledge of the theatre arts to comment on the various aspects of local productions.

Perhaps that someone is you.
