Northern Lights Festival Boréal is underway at Bell Park.
Kicking off the annual music festival was the Arkells.
NLFB 2018 features a diverse lineup of performers ranging from Canadian legends to the undiscovered masters, from tradition to innovation.
The lineup also includes Saturday indie headliner Alvvays, Juno nominated Cree/Dene/Irish artist Iskwé, folk veteran Connie Caldor, ‘folk-trash’ Friday headliner Lisa LeBlanc and much more.

It's a blanket fort (yes, an epic festival blanket fort!!) that will be located on an elevated platform just off a walking path between the family stage and the main stage.
Allana and Gia will be playing a modified game of "Truth or Dare," that is mostly "Truth" amidst the linens. Come in, relax, and answer some questions — those who participate will have a chance to win prizes.
