Third annual Valley East Tree Lighting taking place Nov. 23

The Valley East Community Action Network will be hosting the third annual tree lighting event Nov. 23 at the Howard Armstrong Recreation Centre in Hanmer. 

This holiday-themed event is free to attend and includes a variety of family friendly activities from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with the tree lighting taking place at 7 p.m.

Drop-in ahead of time for the chance to get your picture with the A&W Root Bear, Greater Sudbury Police Service's Inspector Moose, and Sudbury Santa from 5:15-7:15 p.m. 

The evening will include free candy canes, hot chocolate and coffee, as well as an arts and crafts table for kids, and live entertainment from Newcastle Band.

Lastly, there will be a door prize with over $750 in giveaways.
