Ukrainian filmmakers screening movie in Sudbury

As the political unrest escalated in Ukraine last winter, sibling filmmakers Andriy and Pylyp Rojen got out their video cameras captured the violence in Kyiv that caught the world's attention.

As the political unrest escalated in Ukraine last winter, sibling filmmakers Andriy and Pylyp Rojen got out their video cameras captured the violence in Kyiv that caught the world's attention. 


The result is the documentary “The Winter That Changed Us.” It was presented at the Cannes International Film Festival this spring.

The brothers have been touring Canada with their film this summer, and will make a stop in Sudbury Aug. 12.

The film will be screened starting at 7 p.m. at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church. The film is in Ukrainian with English sub-titles. A question and answer session will follow the screening.

Admission is free.
