Video: Remember Carmen Campagne? She was in Sudbury!

Students sing and dance with Francophone children's entertainer

Students enjoyed singing and dancing with children's entertainer Carmen Campagne during her recent visit in Sudbury.

Campagne rose to fame among Francophone children during the 90s and is known as the Kids' Diva. Her albums have sold more than a million copies in both France and Canada. She won the Best Children's Album Félix award four times, as well as a Juno in 1989.

Campagne recently released her new album, entitled "Sur la ferme de grand-père" (On grandpa’s farm).

"A lot of the parents that were here today, they used to listen to me when they were younger and now they're having children," Campagne said. "It's a nice feeling to know that a whole new generation that is discovering my music."

During her northern Ontario tour, Campagne made stops at École Notre-Dame in Hanmer, École Jean-Paul II in Val Caron, École Ste-Marie in Azilda and École St-Denis in Sudbury before heading to Saskatchewan.
