Kelsey Scarfone, a 12-year-old student at George Vanier Public School, with some help from her aunt Tracey, designed the winning logo for the Walden Citizens' Action Committee.

"I chose the blue background to represent all the beautiful lakes in Walden…I picked the fullest, healthiest looking tree to represent Walden as environmentally friendly... and also a healthy community," said Kelsey in a press release.

"I chose the slogan 'We Can' because we can make Walden a better place," she said.
