It's not every day that you get to sit back, relax and enjoy the company of those you love - which is what makes days like Family Day, so doggone special.
Family Day is a public holiday observed in the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and New Brunswick on the third Monday of February. While in British Columbia, it falls on the second Monday of February.
Its purpose is to celebrate the importance of families and family life to residents and their communities, according to an article by timeanddate.com. But exactly how this holiday is celebrated, is as unique as the families themselves.
This year it falls on Feb. 17, and Sudbury.com wants to know what you and your clan are doing to make the most of this time together. And we already got one submission!
Today, Hope Anselmo will be joining her husband Chas and their three beautiful girls, Lillian, Emilia and Violet, for a family brunch followed by a full-day outdoors enjoying various winter activities.
"We appreciate any time we can spend together as a family and Family Day is another opportunity we have to spend time together," said Hope.
