Author and expressive arts therapist Elke Scholz will present a rainbow of creative expression options during a visit to Manitoulin on June 25 and 26.

As guest of the Gore Bay Museum, Scholz will present a book talk and workshop designed to explore the link between the arts and positive, purposeful living.

The event reinforces and enhances the ongoing Handwritten Arts Festival underway at Gore Bay Harbour Centre.

The weekend activities are open to the general public in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Manitoulin Writers’ Circle.

There are two opportunities to meet the author of “Loving Your Life”.

On June 25 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., a book talk and meet-and-greet session will take place at the Harbour Centre.

A question and answer format will allow the audience to learn more about techniques and strategies for tapping into innate creativity.

Then on June 26, a workshop, featuring diverse exercises such as journal and letter writing, poetry, sketching or drawing, music, meditation and movement, will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This hands-on experience will appeal to anyone interested in the healing arts. Bring a brown bag lunch to share.

Although there is no charge for the Sunday seminar, participants are asked to pre-register as space is limited.

Call 705-282-1714 to sign up. Visit the Manitoulin Writers’ Circle on Facebook.
