After being forced to cancel its summer theatre festival due to the COVID-19 pandemic, YES Theatre is back on stage with two projects.
“It has been a very difficult period of time for artists all over the world,” said YES Theatre artistic and managing director Alessandro Constantini, in a press release.
“We all have to be learning to navigate the very difficult reality of so many projects being postponed or cancelled. It brings me great joy to announce these projects and provide much needed arts and culture events to our community! We assure you that safety is our #1 priority! Get thee to the theatre!”
In partnership with Sudbury Theatre Centre, YES Theatre presents “Bed & Breakfast” by Mark Crawford Nov. 27 to Dec. 13.
Constantini and another YES Theatre veteran, Jake Deeth, star in the show. It’s directed by Janie Pinard.
Brett and Drew have just lost their seventh bidding war on a house in Toronto. When Brett unexpectedly inherits the historic family home in a quiet little tourist town, the couple decides to make the move and start up a B & B.
But when the guys face friction in their new community, they discover the simple life is more complicated than they thought. Two actors play more than 20 roles in this fast-paced comedy about being "out" in the country, skeletons in the closet, and finding a place to call home.
There is a limit of 50 tickets per performance, at $40 each. All social distancing and COVID-19 regulations will be followed. Tickets are available through the Sudbury Theatre Centre Box Office.

Also, in partnership with Sudbury Indie Cinema, the YES Theatre Cabaret Series has been running this month, and continues for two more dates on Nov. 28 and Dec. 5.
These intimate cabarets will give you that much needed fix of beautiful live music, said a press release. Join some of YES Theatre’s most beloved company members as they take you through an evening of song.
