You might want to practice some Alanis Morrisette or Justin Bieber in the shower to get in the proper mindset for an upcoming YES Theatre fundraiser.

With Glowing Hearts: A YES Theatre Concert gets underway May 29 starting at 7 p.m. at Sudbury Secondary School's Sheridan Auditorium.

It will explore some of Canada's most profound voices. The evening will consist of some of our country's greatest hits by artists like Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Alanis Morrisette, Feist, Arcade Fire, Paul Anka, Justin Bieber, The Tragically Hip, Shania Twain and many more.

This audience will also be the first to hear about YES Theatre's 10th anniversary season, including a song from its new musical.

“It's going to be a really great night,” said YES Theatre founder Alessandro Costantini.

“The intention behind this is to do an evening where we doing an intimate look at some of Canada's most profound voices.”

The concert will feature a live five-piece band, and more than 25 company members from past and present seasons.

The event raises much-needed funds for YES Theatre in advance of upcoming summer of repertory theatre. The company presents “Merrily We Roll Along” and “Violet” simultaneously from Aug. 1-19.

Tickets to the gala, which cost $40 each, are available in person at One Sky (125 Durham St.) during regular store hours or at the door.
