Young Sudbury Singers introduces new Valley Choir

Organization also has three choirs for kids of all ages that meet in Sudbury

For its 2019-2020 season, the Young Sudbury Singers is adding a new Valley Choir serving the Val Caron, Hanmer and Capreol areas.

The new Valley Choir (grades 3-7) will rehearse on Tuesday evenings at Valley View Public School starting at 6 p.m. 

Registration night will be Oct. 15.

Young Sudbury Singers also offers a number of other choirs that meet in Sudbury.

The Senior Choir (grades 5 and up) and Junior Choir (grades 2-4) rehearse Wednesday evenings at Sudbury Secondary School starting at 6 p.m. (registration Sept. 11). 

The Beginner Choir (SK to Grade 2) meets Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. at R.L. Beattie Public School (registration Sept. 14).

“Participants can expect to sing, laugh, and learn a wide variety of music in a safe and supportive environment that will foster a lifelong love of singing,” said a press release.
 
The choir has several exciting performances planned, including  participation in Valley East Days in September, presenting two major concerts in December and May and performing in the Kiwanis Music Festival in April.

Fees are $250/year for the Senior Choir, $225/year for the Junior Choir, and $200/year for the Beginner Choir. The Valley Choir fees are $75 for the fall term (October to December), and $100 for the winter/spring term (January to May).
