$1 million raised for food bank building, $800,000 to go

The Sudbury Food Bank has surpassed the halfway point in its capital campaign. The organization's campaign goal is $1.8 million. One million has been pledged or donated so far towards renovations at the food bank's new location at 1105 Webbwood Dr.

The Sudbury Food Bank has surpassed the halfway point in its capital campaign.

The organization's campaign goal is $1.8 million. One million has been pledged or donated so far towards renovations at the food bank's new location at 1105 Webbwood Dr.

Officials hope the new building will be completed within a year.

Tea and Bloom donated $225,000 to the food bank, the Sudbury Dragon Boat Festival donated $97,000 and A&W Restaurants donated $25,000.
