Patsy St. Martin and her 12-year-old daughter Alexandria are having a hard time finding the Christmas spirit this year.
At the age of 47, Patsy has had more than her share of medical issues lately.
Among the challenges she has faced, Patsy recently had surgery to remove part of a pituitary tumour and is now awaiting surgery to have a bone tumour removed from her skull.
Patsy’s sister Tammy reached out to us because she worries her sister and her niece have lost hope. Her dream is to lift their spirits by giving them a worry-free Christmas.
With help from our good friends at Canadian Tire, we are sneaking into Patsy and Alexandria’s home to deliver some much needed holiday cheer.
Thank you to Canadian Tire for making this family’s Christmas merry and bright.
Join us on Christmas Day as we relive all the hugs, laughs and tears that we've shared with this year's recipients.
At Sudbury.com, we feel so fortunate to share the stories of these remarkable people who live in our city.
But we couldn't have done it without the support of the generous sponsors who came forward to lend a helping hand, lighten a family's burden, delivering a smile to someone's face and lift the spirits of some truly deserving recipients.
Kindness is contagious and we really hope it keeps spreading.
We received hundreds of nominations and Sudbury.com is looking forward to sharing even more acts of kindness in the New Year and we hope that you will join us.
