Jurgilas, who is also a talented musician, joins with partners Réal Fortin and Henry Goegan.

The announcement was made in a news release.

?In today?s very competitive business environment we believe that companies need to get ready for the Next Economy. Part of our response to improving our agency and getting ready for the coming market revolution is to add the best people we can find to our team,? says Fortin.

Jurgilas started his design career at 50 Carleton?a business named for its original address?in 1983.

?After piloting another agency and then a private consultancy, the next logical step was to forge a more consistant relationship with a team of professionals in order to fulfil the complete needs of a growing client base,? he says.

He is a founding member and past-president of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario. In 2002 he co-authored the book The Business of Graphic Design.

50 Carleton has also changed its corporate image, moved almost all of its client services and administration on-line, and is embarking on an aggressive marketing campaign.

The agency, located in the historic ?Wolfe? flat iron building at the corner of Durham and Elgin Streets, is the largest advertising agency in northeastern Ontario.

50 Carleton, founded in 1978, offers a full range of marketing and advertising services: marketing research, surveys and planning, campaign and creative development, print and electronic advertising production, multimedia planning and production and active account management.

Clients include Cambrian College, City of Greater Sudbury, College Boreal, Inco Ltd., and the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.
